THE SUPPORT ACT
Flutist 'Lucy Noble' and her band 'Andi Skipsey, Ben Eales and Simon Hargreaves' was the support act for the Heather Small 2009 Tour. Lucy said that she was excited to be playing at The Anvil as she was on home turf being from Hampshire. She also reflected on the time she performed at the venue as part of a youth orchestra. Lucy performed for half an hour, playing her own take on classical and latin songs. Her set included: - Mas Que Nada - The James Bond Theme 'Live And Let Die' From The Anvil website: 'Lucy would like to change people's perception of classical music and classical instruments and show that they can be viewed in different ways and be more accessible to an audience. Her performances are both electric and brilliant, mesmerising the audiences. She performs some classical pieces in a more contemporary way and some popular songs that are changed into instrumental versions. Her music very often has a latino feel.'
